Okay.
If you read manga, or if you know people who read manga, I'm asking you to read
this journal carefully and spread the word around.
I don't care if you've never talked to me in your life.
Read. Reply. Spread.

So I have this animation teacher who is some sort of critic for upcoming movies, etc.
He gets all the inside info on Disney, Warner, everything really.
Yesterday, we asked him about any upcoming animes and such.
He told us that anime in Japan right now is NOT doing very good.
The amount of new anime in Japan in 2008 was 17 a week. (Or a month, don't remember...someone in my class, correct me?)
The amount of new anime coming out this year? Six.
My teacher said that this is because they realeased TOO MUCH at the same time.
Even titles that had been selling millions haven't been doing well.
I also believe that this is because of everyone watching ON THE INTERNET.
You know who you are.
I'm guilty too.

Now, for the manga part of this.
Canadians, PAY ATTENTION.

TOKYOPOP HAS LOST 47 OF ITS TITLES.

That's right guys, these manga will NO LONGER be sold in North America.
As soon as they sell the stock they have, that's it.
I don't know EXACTLY what titles are gone.

I know that a lot of you read online.
I'm guilty of that too.
But this online thing really needs to slow down.
So the next time your by a bookstore, pick up something by Tokyopop.
It's about all we can do.

The quote "Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion" is getting awfully overused, abused, and misused nowadays.
But it's okay if you disagree. It's my opinion and i'm entitled to it :P

Oh I remember you. I thought your Wolf cosplay was well done.

If ES is your cup of tea then I'd think you should play it, but if it isn't don't worry. And thank you so much. I am glad it was good especially for being my first. :meow:
